A Warm welcome to Cambodia!
Your local English-speaking guide will meet and greet you on arrival in Siem Reap, then transfer you to your hotel for check in. (Official check in is at 14:00, early check in may be possible but depends on room availability). Along the way your tour guide will tell you a little about the history and culture of Cambodia.

After settling in, you will set out for an excursion to the amazing and awe inspiring temples of Angkor Wat, surrounded by a manmade moat. It is no surprise this monument was awarded a UNESCO World Heritage Site status. Here you will also enjoy a truly memorable sunset with a panorama view of the amazing landscape from Pre Rup temple.

Tonight you will be enthralled by the Phare Cambodia Circus; a troupe of young Cambodians offering a spectacular and exciting blend of traditional and modern theatre, music, dance, acrobatics, juggling and contortion beautifully choreographed and performed as a story about Cambodian life and society. You will enjoy a welcome dinner before heading to Phare Cambodia Circus.

Meals: Dinner included.

DAY 02: SIEM REAP - KHMER TEMPLES
You begin today’s tour early, after breakfast at the hotel and head off to explore the ancient Khmer capital city of Angkor Thom. You will walk along the ramparts from the South Gate to see Prasat Chrung and stop at the Death Gate for some fruit and snacks before continuing to the main temple of Bayon. You will also visit several small temples nearby, such as Baphuon, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Next on the agenda is a visit to the well-known jungle temple of Ta Prohm, for centuries overgrown by balsa wood trees and vines. This temple reeks of mystery and was also used in the movie Tomb Raider.

You will spend the afternoon visiting Banteay Srei temple, also known as the ‘Women’s Temple'. It was associated with the training of female soldiers to fight against the enemies of the Khmer empire, and is is fairly unique in that it is constructed of beautiful pink sandstone and decorated with intricate stone carvings. On the return journey you'll visit the impressive Cambodia Landmine Museum, which has collected thousands of landmines since the days of the war. What is even more impressive is the story of the one Khmer man, Mr. Aki Ra, who disarmed the majority of these landmines alone. If time permits, you will explore the ruin of Preah Khan sitting right in the middle of the jungle. You will enter from the eastern entrance walking along the causeway while listening to the sound of birds and gibbons making for a very pleasant walk.

Tonight you will enjoy a dinner accompanied by a Khmer traditional Apsara dance performance depicting the unique Khmer culture.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Accommodation in Siem Reap.
