This itinerary is designed as a budget tour to Sihanoukville, and highlights its beaches and water sports activities. It is presented as a sample to give the budget traveler an idea of what is possible and the activities that are available. It is designed with basic accommodation and use of local transportation.
You arrive in Phnom Penh and transfer to Cambodia's premier beach resort of Sihanoukville. You will take a trip to a secluded island and journey to a wildlife sanctuary, then enjoy water sports, or just soak up the sun on the beach.

In Cambodia there are several free guidebooks available in most locations. Although guidebooks tend to come and go, there are some that have been around for years and these are quite reliable. These guidebooks tend to be more up to date and accurate because they are published locally and published more often. When you have free time in Phnom Penh, and you are into shopping and browsing, the large local markets are something to see. For the first time visitor, they are more of an experience than a shopping trip. There are several in Phnom Penh, and Phsar Thmei (Central Market), Phsar Orrusey, Phsar Kleang Romsev, and The Russian Market are the biggest. They all offer a staggering array of goods, although each one is a bit different.
Cambodia Beach Break - 06 Days
Itinerary Details:
Day 01: Phnom Penh Arrival & Transfer to Sihanoukville
When you arrive in Phnom Penh you will be met by our staff, and escorted to your bus. You will then take the bus to the beach resort of Sihanoukville. When you arrive, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for check-in. After checking in, you will have free time to relax, or explore the town.
Overnight in Sihanoukville hotel. Breakfast included.
Day 02: Sihanoukville – Bamboo Island
After breakfast you take a boat ride to Bamboo Island. This is an island of peace and tranquility; both literally and figuratively. It is an amazing place with sandy beaches, clear blue water, and beautiful natural surroundings. With no cars, or roads, or development, the only sound you hear is the waves and the birds. This is the perfect place to get away from it all.
You will have the option of staying overnight on the island, or returning to the hotel. If you stay on the island, you will stay in basic bungalows on the beach.

There is also an open-air bar and restaurant on the island. Overnight in Bamboo Island bungalows, or in Sihanoukville hotel. Breakfast included.
Note: You may extend your stay on the island for 1 more night if you wish.
Day 03: Sihanoukville – Ream National Park
After breakfast, you will go on a private, all-day trip to the protected area of Ream National Park. We will leave about 8:30am and return about 4pm. The park has secluded sandy beaches, mangrove forests, coral reefs, tropical jungle, the Prek Tuk estuary, and two
small islands. We take a boat ride and a jungle walk to see abundant wildlife, and spend a couple of hours on the beach. We will have lunch in the park. Overnight in Sihanoukville hotel. Breakfast included.
Day 04: Sihanoukville Free Day
Breakfast in the hotel, and then you will have the whole day free to just relax on the beach, go swimming, or for those who enjoy water sports, you can go snorkeling, or go on a SCUBA diving day-trip. There are many activities for you to choose from. And to quench your thirst, you can stop in at one of the many bars and restaurants
along the beach, and in the evening you can find a great restaurant in town.
Overnight in Sihanoukville hotel. Breakfast included.
Day 05: Sihanoukville - Phnom Penh
After breakfast you will go by bus back to Phnom Penh, and when you arrive, our staff will meet you and go to the hotel. After you check in to the hotel, you will have free time. If you have time, you can go on a city tour to see the Royal Palace, the National Museum, and other places of interest. You can also go shopping, and in the evening you might want to experience the exciting nightlife of Phnom Penh. 
Overnight in Phnom Penh hotel. Breakfast included.
Day 06: Phnom Penh Departure
Breakfast in the hotel, then it will be time to get ready for departure transfer.
