The second largest city in Cambodia is Siem Reap. The town stretches north & south along the Siem Reap River, and east & west along National Hwy. 6.The main temple complex at Angkor is about 5 to 10km to the north of the town center. Siem Reap has become mainly a tourist town, and hotels both large and small and guesthouses can be found all over town. There are a variety of smaller hotels, shops and restaurants near the Old Market, along with the Noon-Night Market (www.noonnightmarket.com) and the Angkor Night Market (www.angkornightmarket.com). Most large, upscale hotels are on Hwy. 6 between the town center and the airport. There are two main areas with budget hotels and guesthouses; one is along ‘Wat Bo’ Road, and the other is in the Taphul Village area. There are a variety of mid-range hotels and restaurants along the main north-south street of Sivatha, and budget and mid-range hotels in the Phsar Leu area.
