Summary: You arrive in Luang Prabang, the ancient capital of Loas, and after checking in to your luxury hotel, you will see all that this UNESCO World Heritage Site has to offer: the National Museum, once the royal palace, and the magnificent ancient temples Luang Prabang is famous for. You also climb the steps up Mount Phousi to see the amazing view of the city and the river nearby, as well as a beautiful sunset. At the Night Market you can hunt for bargains in local handicrafts. The next day you visit the mysterious Pak Ou Cave with its thousands of Buddha images, and also visit several ethnic villages on the way. A trip to the Kuangsi Waterfall in lush green surroundings is next, and you can take a dip and cool off as you enjoy the beauty of the forest. The early morning procession of monks in their saffron robes carrying their offering bowls as they slowly walk along the street and receive offerings of food, is a sight to see. Then all too soon, it will be time to leave Luang Prabang, and go to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap.

You can explore all the famous temples you have read about, including Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, Baphuon Temple, the jungle ruin temple of Ta Prohm, the temples of Bateay Srei and Banteay Samre, and of course the truly spectacular and beautiful Angkor Wat, which symbolizes Mount Meru, of Hindu mythology. Sunrise and sunset viewing is also on the agenda.
The visit to the water world of the Floating Village at Tonle Sap Lake is truly an amazing and unique experience.
A free day in Siem Reap is an excellent chance to explore the town and the surrounding countryside. There are many optional tours in Siem Reap, or you can wander about the Old Market area, get a relaxing massage, or visit one of the many spas in town. It is also an excellent opportunity for shopping, especially in the evening at the famous Noon-Night Market near Pub Street.
Then its time for your departure, and the end of your adventure through the treasures of Laos and Cambodia.

Laos & Cambodia Treasures – 07 Days
Itinerary Detail:
Day 01: Luang Prabang Arrival Upon your arrival in Luang Prabang, you will be met by our professional staff and escorted to your hotel in the center of the city. After checking in and a short rest, we will visit the National Museum. This was once the royal palace, but now home to artifacts displays introducing the history of Laos. You learn about famous Lao leaders and fighters from ancient times to modern times, including the revolutionary period.
Luang Prabang is a city of temples, and after the museum we visit two magnificent examples of these temples: Wat Visoun and Wat Xienthong. Wat Visoun is the city’s oldest temple and one of the best examples of classical Luang Prabang architecture.
Then it is time to get some exercise and climb the steps of Mount Phousi. At the summit we see the stupa perched there, and enjoy the amazing view looking out over the city and the river, and by evening, we watch a beautiful sunset. Back down in the city, there will be a welcome dinner at a deluxe restaurant. After dinner we visit the Night Market where you can look for bargains in locally made handicrafts.

Day 02: Luang Prabang - Pakou Cave - Kuangsi Waterfall – Ethnic Villages After breakfast in the hotel we take a boat ride to Pak Ou Cave. This mysterious cave contains thousands of Buddha images of all shapes and sizes. On the way there we stop at Ban Xanghai, a village famous for the production of Lao Khao, a kind of rice liquor. You see how it is made, and taste one of the national drinks of Laos. We will also visit two Lao-Loum villages, Ban Chan and Ban Xiengmene.
Back in Luang Prabang, lunch will be served in a popular restaurant, and you can try some local specialties. Then we drive to Kuangsi Waterfall, and on the way we stop at two ethnic villages. Ban Na Oune is a Hmong village, and Ban Tha Pane is a small Khmu village. You will see how different the ethnic groups are in the style of their houses, their dress and their beliefs and customs. The waterfall is set in lush green surroundings of a National Biodiversity Conservation Area. You can take a dip and cool off in the clear pools at the bottom of the falls, and walk around and enjoy the beauty of the forest. We return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon, and on the way we stop at Ban Xangkhong, a weaving village. You see how weavers produce the intricate patterns on home looms. The final visit of the day is Wat Siphouthabath where the footprints of Buddha can be seen. It will be a relaxing finale to a busy day.

Day 03: Luang Prabang - Siem Reap (International Flight)
No visit to Luang Prabang would be complete without seeing the early morning procession of the monks in their saffron robes carrying their offering bowls. They walk along the street lined with Buddhist believers making merit by giving offerings of food. Of course we need to get up early in order to see this spectacle. Then after breakfast we head for the Morning Market, a good place to buy presents for your friends and relatives. Later there will be free time for you to explore the town on your own until we get ready to go to the airport for the flight to Siem Reap. When you arrive at Siem Reap, you will be greeted by our tour staff, and transferred to your deluxe hotel for check-in. After getting settled in, you are treated to a first-class Apsara dinner show.

Day 04: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples
Today after breakfast, we take out first trip to visit the Angkor Temple Complex, and our first stop is the famous capital of Angkor Thom. You enter through the South gate, built by King Jayavaraman VII (1181-1220), and then you see the enigmatic smiling faces of Bayon Temple, Baphuon Temple, the Royal enclosure, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Our next temple is the jungle ruin temple of Ta Prohm. This temple is overgrown by trees and vines, has been more or less left as it was when it was discovered.
After lunch we see one of the Seven Wonders of the World: Angkor Wat, a truly spectacular and beautiful religious monument. It is surrounded by a moat of some 5,600 meters, has Naga bridge balustrades, and is adorned with many intricate carvings. It is the symbol of Mount Meru, the home of the gods of Hindu mythology. Afterward, we climb up the temple of Pre Rup to watch the reddish glow of a beautiful sun set.

Day 05: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples - Tonle Sap Floating Village
For those people who like sunrises, there is a before-dawn trip to see a spectacular sunrise over Angkor Wat. After breakfast, we take a drive through the countryside to see the famous temples of Bateay Srei and Banteay Samre. In the afternoon, the Floating Village at the Tonle Sap Lake is next on the agenda, and the drive along the river south of Siem Reap takes us past several villages. On the boat trip through the floating village we see floating houses, floating stores, a floating school, floating restaurant, a floating church, and other floating structures. This is a very unique and interesting experience.

Day 06: Siem Reap Free Day Today you have free time to get out and explore Siem Reap and the surrounding area. There are many optional tours and things to see and do in Siem Reap. Some of these things include: exploring the Old Market area, visiting Artisans d’Angkor and take a guided tour of the workshops and shop at their boutique, taking a visit to a silk weaving village, or going on a countryside tour. In the evening you can browse the famous Noon-Night Market near Pub Street and search out some great bargains in souvenirs and gifts.

Day 07: Siem Reap Departure After breakfast, there will be some leisure time, but then it will be time to get ready for your departure transfer for your return flight, or onward travel.
