Itinerary Brief:
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Summary:
This adventure trip takes you to all the highlights of northeast Vietnam. Leaving Hanoi we drive through tea plantations along the way to Thai Nguyen. Then we drive through timeless villages and spectacular natural beauty on our way to Ba Be Lake where a boat is waiting to take us to the Tay village of Pac Ngoi for our home-stay. The three lakes of Ba Be offer spectacular scenery, and we cruise to Dau Dang Village and Puong Cave, and have lunch near a beautiful waterfall.
The drive to Cao Bang is very scenic, and later we drive to the historical cave of Pac Po, the site Ho Chi Minh’s wartime headquarters. From .jpg)
Cao Bang we go to the beautiful and scenic Ban Gioc Waterfall near the Chinese border. After spending a day at the falls, we also visit hill tribe villages for taking pictures. Going over the That Khe Pass, we make our way to Lang Son where we visit the Nhi Thanh Cave and the Tam Thanh Pagoda, and the market at Dong Kinh with it’s myriad of goods from China.
The morning drive to Halong City takes us though more scenic countryside, and the next day we go for an unforgettable 5-hour cruise through the fantastic shapes of limestone islands rising out of the emerald-green water of Halong Bay while enjoying a delicious 
lunch onboard. We return to Hanoi, where our adventure comes to an end.

Itinerary Details:
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Upon your arrival in Hanoi, you are welcomed by our staff at your arrival point and transferred to your hotel. We will have a brief meeting explaining your tour, and traveling in Vietnam. Then you enjoy a special welcome dinner at an excellent Vietnamese restaurant.
Overnight in Hanoi hotel. Dinner included. 
Day 2: Hanoi - Ba Be Lake (Home-stay)
After breakfast we begin our journey to the northeast, and drive through undulating terrain and tea plantations to Thai Nguyen where we stop and visit the museum of Ethnology. We continue our drive through timeless villages along the road that is the main link for trade between the northeast and the capital. This view of the rural Vietnam countryside is just a sample of the spectacular natural beauty we will see in the days ahead. Depending on conditions, we will arrive at Ba Be Lake around noon. We take 
a small boat on the lake to the Tay village of Pac Ngoi located on the shore of the lake for our home-stay. Later we have some time to take a look around the village with great views overlooking the lake.

Note: If home-stay is not desired, hotel accommodation can be arranged in the Gia Market area at the edge of the park.
Day 3: Babe Lake Cruise (Home-stay)
This morning we walk the few minutes to the boat dock to start off on a day of cruising the three Ba Be lakes. We cruise to Dau Dang Village, and leave our boat to explore this traditional village. Then we continue our cruise to the other side of the lake, all the while enjoying the natural beauty of the lake. We glide through Puong Cave, and lunch is served near a beautiful waterfall. After lunch, we continue navigating the tranquil beauty of the lake, and we can even go swimming. After dinner we have time to learn about the local culture and traditions of Pac Ngoi.

Day 4: Ba Be Lake - Cao Bang - Pac Po
After breakfast we say goodbye to Pac Ngoi Village and Ba Be Lakes, and walk about 2 hours through the park to where our vehicle will meet us. Then we take a scenic 2.5 hour drive to Cao Bang where the ethnic Hmong, Dao, Tho and Nung peoples live in harmony. We arrive in Cao Bang for check-in and for lunch. We take a short rest and then drive to the historical cave of Pac Po, where Ho Chi Minh set up the headquarters of the August Vietnamese Revolution in 1945. We head back to Cao Bang in 
the late afternoon, and we have free time to relax.
Overnight in Cao Bang hotel. Breakfast and Lunch included.
Day 5: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall
After breakfast in the hotel we take a 3-hour drive from Cao Bang to the Ban Gioc Waterfall near the border with China. The sound of the falls can be heard far away, as the Quy Xuan River cascades down the stones. The column of spray can be seen from a distance, and keeps the temperature quite cool. At the bottom of the falls, the river widens out and wildflowers line the banks. After a day at the falls, we return to Cao Bang, and on 
the way back, we can stop to visit hill tribe villages for picture taking.
Overnight in Cao Bang hotel. Breakfast and Lunch included.
Day 6: Cao Bang - Lang Son
In the morning after breakfast we drive the 150 km to Lang Son near the Chinese border. Along the way we stop at the beautiful That Khe Pass for taking photos. After lunch we go to see the Nhi Thanh Cave and the Tam Thanh Pagoda. Then we head for the market at Dong Kinh which is perhaps one of the biggest markets in the area, and is fully stocked with Chinese goods from 
across the border.
Overnight in Lang Son hotel. Breakfast and Lunch included.
Day 7: Lang Son - Halong City
This morning we leave Lang Son and drive though some very scenic countryside to Halong City where we check into our hotel.
Overnight in Halong City hotel. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included.
Day 8: Halong Bay - Hanoi 
After breakfast we leave the hotel for Halong Bay where we take a 5-hour cruise around this World Heritage site. We take an unforgettable cruise through a fantastic seascape of thousands of limestone islands floating on emerald-green water. While cruising, a delicious seafood lunch is served onboard. After a pleasant day of cruising, we drive back to Hanoi.
Overnight in Hanoi hotel. Breakfast and Lunch included.
Day 9: Hanoi Departure
Today in the morning we have our last breakfast in the hotel, and then you have time to get ready 
for your departure transfer for your onward travel, or your flight home.
Breakfast included.
