Itinerary Brief:
Day 1: Hanoi - Pu Luong - Ban Sai Village – Hang Village
Day 2: Hang Village – Sai Village
Day 3: Sai Village - Muong Village - Hoa Binh - Hanoi
Summary:
The Pu Luong Nature Reserve, southwest of Hanoi, was made a reserve because of its stunning natural beauty and amount of biodiversity. It has forest habitat, limestone formations, emerald rice terraces and sweeping vistas. On this trek you experience the way of life and culture of the Thai and Muong ethnic groups, and stay in a traditional house in their villages.
You first arrive at Ban Sai Village, then drive further into the reserve where the trek begins. You trek to Hang Village where we spend the first night in the village.
The next morning we trek to the village of Sai, also a Thai community and you spend your second night in a typical ethnic Thai house on stilts.
On the way back to Hanoi the next day, we stop at a Muong Village, then at Hoa Binh for lunch.
You get a glimpse into the past, and into a traditional way of life that has all but disappeared elsewhere. It is truly an unforgettable experience.

Challenging – These tours require many hours of hiking and trekking. They should be undertaken only by those who are physically fit and who have experience in trekking and hiking.

Pu Luong Nature Reserve Trek – 3 Days
Itinerary Details:
Day 1: Hanoi - Ban Sai - Pu Luong - Hang Village
After breakfast in the hotel, we depart Hanoi for the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. The scenic drive to the reserve takes around four hours, and along the way we pass rice paddies, and fields of tapioca and sugar cane. After lunch in Ban Sai Village we drive further into the reserve where we begin our trek. We trek for approximately three hours before arriving at the ethnic Thai village of Hang. We spend the night with a local Thai family who will be our hosts in a traditional house on stilts. You enjoy their hospitality while discovering more about their way of life and their culture.

Day 2: Hang Village – Sai Village
In the morning you will have an opportunity to walk around Hang Village for awhile before we start our trekking for the day. Today we will be walking for approximately five hours, and along the way we pass through several Thai villages before arriving at Sai Village. This is also a Thai community, and we will spend our second night in a typical ethnic Thai stilt house.
Overnight in Sai Village traditional house. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included
Day 3: Sai Village - Hoa Binh - Hanoi
After breakfast we have time to look around Sai Village before we make our way back to Hanoi. On the way back we will stop at a Muong Village, before continuing on to Hoa Binh Town where we have lunch. Return to your hotel in Hanoi.
