Pù Luông Nature Reserve
This nature reserve is located in Quan Hoa and Ba Thuoc districts of Thanh Hoa Province, in North Central Vietnam. The reserve is situated along two parallel mountain ridges, with a wide central valley in between. There are several villages and a large amount agricultural land area in the valley. Pu Luong has a great quantity of biodiversity, and many of the plants and animals are closely related with the Cuc Phuong National Park 25 km to the south-east.
It is an area of outstanding natural beauty, and is of cultural interest. The region is covered with abundant forest, limestone panoramas, terraced rice paddys, and breathtaking scenery. The reserve is a popular destination for trekking and home-stay. You can experience the everyday lifestyle and culture of the Thai and Muong ethnic communities.
