Sambor Prei Kuk Group is an archaeological site in located north of the city about 30km and then enjoy to stop at the friendly family in the rural community as well as visit local market before your visit to Koh Ker group including Prasat Thom and other temples are scattering in the jungle. Discover Angkor Archeological Park and an authentic village in the skirts. After visited the ruins and temples at Angkor, you will spend a nights stay at Battambang known as the Rice House of Cambodia then relax on the unwind beach, Kep. Return to Phnom Penh via visiting the project of Alliance Wildlife at Phnom Tamao.

TOUR ITNERARY

Day 01: Arriving Phnom Penh                                                                                                                    

Your flight will land in Phnom Penh.

You are welcomed by the professional tour guide then transferring to the hotel accompany by the description of the country and people then checking in at your hotel. You will have a free day to rest after your arrived flight and watch the movement of the Cambodian capital. In the afternoon, you will visit some of the capital’s famous attractions with Tuk-Tuk – a very popular mean in Cambodia. The first attraction of your trip is Wat Ounalom. Wat Ounalom is considered one of the main temples in Phnom Penh and the headquarters of Cambodia Buddhism. With a unique architectural complex, this sacred temple attracts pilgrims from all over the country and is a popular tourist attraction when it comes to Cambodia. The next places will be the National Museum, the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda.

Day 02: Phnom Penh City Tour                                                                                                                  

On the second day in Phnom Penh, after having the breakfast you will visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) and the Choeung Ek Death Field to better understand the cruelty of the Khmer Rouge regime as well as Cambodia’s darkest period. Today will leave you unforgettable impressions then shopping at Russian Market, is the most popular market among tourists and expats and probably the best place to pick up souvenirs.

Afternoon visit Phnom Udong is an ancient town of the post-Angkorian period, a mountain rises above it all, topped by the spire of Stupas like the castles as well as Wat Phnom is the symbol of Phnom Penh.

Day 03: Phnom Penh – Kampong Cham – Kampong Thom

Breakfast at hotel; begin your third day to travel to Kampong Thom via visitation to Kampong Cham is the Mekong River bank city with French colonial building. You will see an ancient of Wat Nokor is a modern Theravada Buddhist pagoda squeezed into the walls of a 12th-century Mahayana Buddhist shrine of sandstone and laterite. Today over 100 small temple ruins sit peacefully in a forest setting.

Day 04: Kampong Thom - Koh Ker – Siem Reap

Breakfast at hotel, today you will move your destination to Siem Reap. Proceed the journey to northwest of Kampong Thom and heading to Koh Ker temples group, a hidden city in the jungle temple, built 10th-century the former capital of the Khmer Empire, the site is lonely and heavily forested. The main structure of the temples group is Prasat Thom, is a stepped 7-tiered pyramid and other temples such as Prasat Pram, Lingas group. Next continue to Beng Melea hidden temple, it is known as vegetation temples, amazing un-restored and gives adventure for the photographer. Checking at you hotel in Siem Reap then free at your leisure.

Day 05: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples                                                    

Enjoy the lovely breakfast at your hotel, then in the morning we will exploration of the temples. Enter this last capital of the Khmer empire through the Southern Gate where giant carvings of gods and demons flank each side of the entrance. Inside this great city, explore the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace and Terrace of Leper King. Feel the serenity that exudes from the stone face carvings of the Bayon and temple walls covered in emerald-green moss intertwined with roots which many deem the most charming of all, Ta Prohm.  

Lunch is Khmer style in a local restaurant on your own account. Regain your energy enjoying a sumptuous Khmer feast near Sras Srang, the Royal Pool of Ablutions, originally reserved for the King and his consorts. Enjoy a spread of great local food followed by a nap lazing in a hammock, or explore to see the traditional way of life and say hello to the Cambodians near here. Mid-afternoon take your time for the exploration to Angkor Wat, an architectural and artistic masterpiece of the mighty Khmer Empire. Sunset at Phnom Bakheng or Pre Rup paints the temple in an orange hue.

Day 06: Siem Reap - Tole Sap Lake - Battambang

A visit to Siem Reap is almost like a journey back in time to an ancient world. Siem Reap, which means the “Defeat of Siam”, is next to the Angkor Archaeological Park on the north and Tonle Sap Lake on the south of the city. The charm of Siem Reap lies in a huge selection of best-known places, encompassing Old Market, or Phsa Chas. Additionally, it is home to a high concentration of alluring café and food culture as well as geared shops that definitely appeal to visitors’ interest. What to do next? Shopping at Old Market and enjoy the boat excursion on Tole Sap Lake where can see stilted or floating houses in the community.

Afternoon driving to Battanbang known as the “Rice City of Cambodia”, the second-largest city located 230 km of Phnom Penh and two and half hours driving from Siem Reap, Battambang is a beautiful city on the banks of the river, retaining many of the ancient features of French architecture. This is a small-town friendliness, fresh fruits friendly and the unique charm. The excursion of the day, you will visit Phnom Sampeou and caves at the bottom of this mountain. Will hanging around with relax drink when millions of bats evacuate the caves at the bottom of the hill, creating a dark, fluid ribbon through the sky.

Day 07: Battambang Excusion

Breakfast at the hotel then you will pick for excursion. You visit the French colonial building in the city and Traditional Khmer house is on stilts. The family lives there, then will guide you all parts of the house, you will get a new knowledge why Cambodian build houses higher on stilts then continue with Norrie fun ride, it known as bamboo train, it made its first appearance in the early 1980s inspired by the small rail vehicles used by the railway workers to carryout repairs. At the time having just emerged from the years of Khmer Rouge lunacy, Cambodians were struggling to rebuild their lives and the country was re-establishing its existence. Continue to explore Prasat Ek Phnom, a Hindu temple built in the 11th century under the rule of king Suryavarman I as well as see local life along the way.

This afternoon driving to Phnom Banon, Angkor-era mountaintop temple is definitely worth a look. At the top are beautiful views of the winding Sangker River, the temple itself is beautiful looking from the ground as well as the top. This evening enjoy the beef noodle at a famous local restaurant near the provincial hospital, it’s worth to try.

Day 08: Battambang – Kep

Today after having the breakfast, you leave Battambang along the national road 5 to the coastal city of Kep with great beaches, island and scenery. Will visit Kep’s Crab market before check in to your hotel then will be free on your own activity.

Day 09: Kep – Free day

You have a free day for your Kep excursion today after enjoy the breakfast.

Not noisy as the big cities but brings peace, simplicity, harmony with the ancient French architecture survived. You can immerse yourself on Kep beach with gentle waves, clear blue water, and smooth white sand, surrounded by mountains, peaceful scenery with beautiful houses. Kep City is famous for its beautiful beaches, white sandy beaches; it is famous for its delicious seafood, especially crabs, which is a symbol of the city.

Day 10: Kep – Free day

You have another free day for Kep excursion today after enjoyed the breakfast.

Most visitors to Kep often take the time to visit Koh Tonsay or Rabbit Island. The island is only 30 minutes by boat from the city of Kep, with clear blue water, white sandy beaches, straight and tall coconut palms, creating a tranquil setting. Here you can take snorkeling to view the coral and colorful fishes. In addition to swimming, enjoying seafood, visitors to Kep also experience many interesting activities such as visiting Kep National Park, Kep Oceanarium, taking pictures with White Lady Statue or exploring the Banteay Srei Butterfly Farm with hundreds of diverse butterflies.

Day 11: Kep – Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre – Phnom Penh                                                  

In the morning after checking out then you will transfer to Phnom Penh by passing Ta Keo, will visit Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre. Early departure is recommended (at 6:45) as you will join the tour with others participate. This is a unique experience and highlight of the day.

What do you do and see today?

Meeting up everyone at Phnom Tamao for the activity at Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre, you have the opportunity to take home a unique souvenir, if Lucky, one of the female elephants, likes you, she will paint a t-shirt or canvas for you!

Have a delicious Cambodian-style lunch, enjoy fresh coconut water and escape the heat of the day in our relaxing hammocks.

Get up close with leopards, gibbons, otters and the other endangered animals that Wildlife Alliance has helped rescue and care for at the sanctuary.

Visit the nursery in the rehabilitation area – a section closed to the public – and see the beautiful baby animals that we care for up close.

Interact with rescued baby macaque monkeys in their enclosure as you feed them (at the guide’s discretion).

Afternoon leaving to Phnom Penh and check in at your hotel and then free time to discover the capital city of Phnom Penh on your own.

Day 12: Phnom Penh – Departure
